Ouri is continually evolving, a shape-shifting multi-instrumentalist who guides different styles, different disciplines into the path of one another.
Based in Montreal – itself a port city of different languages and cultures – her experiences range from acoustic instruments such as piano, harp, and cello through to glitchy electronics.
New EP 'We Share Our Blood' is out now on Ghostly, and it's a tour de force, a riveting, endlessly creative experience.
She explains: “As I continue to create music, I want the whole experience to be even more raw. No one else is included for this one; from writing to mastering, the process is direct from me to the listener…”
To coincide with its release Ouri has crafted a new DJ Mix for Clash, and it's a potent experience, a heady, highly musical experience that touches on some of her inspirations.
Moving from overt club fare – Zed Bias, Equiknoxx – through to left field electro workouts from LA Priest and Sudan Archives it's a riveting experience, one that contains plenty of surprises.
We've had this on the Clash stereo for some time now – get involved…
