Less a collaboration and more a bridge between two styles, two varying approaches, 'Push' matches My Panda Shall Fly against Mau'lin.
The two met in an East London studio just a few days before Christmas, deciding to knock down any barriers, any preconceived notions in their path.
Free-flowing creativity, the sessions swung between abstract noise and dancefloor fare, a gentle melodic sense and challenging electronics.
There are definitely antecedents to what the two have accomplished – elements of broken beat, for example, or Ninja Tune's more down tempo releases – but My Panda Shall Fly and Mau'lin have succeeded in crafting a sound distinctly their own.
New EP 'Push' arrives on September 8th via Project Mooncircle and to celebrate the two have pieced together a new mix.
