Joe Goddard has been at the forefront of music for two decades now, pouring his creativity into a number of projects. A lynchpin within Hot Chip’s ongoing defiance of time and trend, he’s helped create some of the group’s most iconic tracks.
But it goes beyond this – whether it’s with The 2 Bears, his solo work, his collaborative nous, or his experiences as a remixer, Joe Goddard has become a by-word for creativity within UK electronic music.
This year alone has brought bounteous gifts to fans. Solo album ‘Harmonics’ won critical acclaim, followed by a selection of remixes. A joint EP with Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith spotlighted another aspect of his work with Joe Goddard’s breadth becoming one of his most valuable facets as a creator.
A few weeks back Pretty Green hosted a special 15th birthday party at Camden pub / venue the Hawley Arms – famously fraternised by Amy Winehouse, members of Wolf Alice also worked behind the bar.
The mouth-watering line-up also boasted Lou Hayter (Greco Roman), Iraina Mancini (Soho Radio) and Clash’s very own Daniel Blenman, with Joe Goddard headlining.

A spectacular one-off, Joe Goddard decided to go in the mix for CLASH, supplying a special DJ set that provides a cross-section of his interests in 2024.
No tracklist, but it moves from opaque electronic soul through to disco bedlam via the odd slice of ravey hip-house.
