...moody grime instrumentals and fiercer cuts
Faze Miyake

Faze Miyake goes in heavy on the bass for this week’s Clash DJ Mix, with a selection of moody grime instrumentals and fiercer cuts.

After releasing through the Family Tree collective and securing a regular slot on Rinse FM earlier this year, the rapidly rising grime producer looks set to spread his heavyweight mix of tremorous bass and trap influences even further afield, particularly with his burgeoning Woofer Music label.

As well as choice grime from both underground and established names, Miyake also works a few other flavours into his Clash mix, including a touch of dangerously low-slung house and some well-placed trap moments, including Mad Decent’s CRNKN remixing Waka Flocka Flame. Other tracks come from Plastician, Royal T, Joker, Splurt Diablo and Faze Miyake himself, who give us a few of his finest.

Here’s the producer with some words about his mix.

“I recorded this mix at the Rinse studio. I was aiming for it to show everything that I play in terms of genre and sound. Combination of some of my new tracks with other new music I’m feeling. It’s heavy on the bass side of things as usual!”
