It's pretty jazzy...
Amateur Best

Birmingham-based bedroom producer Joe Flory has been making music for some time.

Focussing on his Amateur Best moniker, the electronic musician has gradually been experimenting, pushing himself further and further.

New album 'The Gleaners' is an intoxicating fusion of pop textures, programmed beats and faint traces of melancholia, and it's perhaps the producer's most complete work yet.

To celebrate, Amateur Best has pieced together a new mix for Clash. Opening with David Axelrod and moving between Madlib and Steve Reich, it's rightly labelled "pretty jazzy".

1. David Axelrod - 'The Edge'
2. Madlib - 'Distant Land'
3. Mulatu Astatke - 'Yekermo Sew'
4. Azymuth
5. The 45 King and John Klemmer - 'Flipshot / Love Is Life / Life Is Love'
6. Connan Mockasin - 'Faking Jazz Together'
7. Anna Meredith - 'Nautilus'
8. Bohen Und Der Club of Gore - 'Karin'
9. Steve Reich - 'Electric Counterpoint'
10. Chilly Gonzales - 'Armellodie'
11. Arthur Russell - 'Our Last Night Together'
