Hot Creations has long since established itself as one of Europe's premiere dance labels.
Jamie Jones and Lee Foss have steered the imprint to enormous success, kickstarting countless reputations in the process. The label is set to release its first artist album of the year this summer, courtesy of Popof.
The producer – real name Alexandre Paounov – specialises in lending a chic sensibility to underground sounds, paring down the wilder aspects in favour of something rather more subtle.
Out on June 29th, 'Love Somebody' is a gorgeous, engrossing return. Popof explains: “I’ve been composing club-oriented dancefloor music since the beginning, and this album project allowed me to create tracks with a calmer side to them. I teamed up with a singer, Arno Joey, who does the vocals on most of the tracks and Miss Kittin is also featured on ‘Always On My Mind’, a very sunny, warm song. Moreover, there are two other tracks that I’ve worked on with French artist Animal & Me – ‘Going Back’ and ‘Always On My Mind’ – who, in my opinion, is a newcomer to follow attentively.”
Clash has grabbed the first play – check it out below.
