Motion City Soundtrack have released five studio albums across a fifteen year career.
Put simply: the Minneapolis band know what they're doing. The title of new album 'Panic Stations' then, should be take literally: it's a nautical reference, the warning signs that appear above dangerous areas of the ocean.
In fact, the group's new LP is packed with sea-based language. A band fond of epic sounds and vast songs, Motion City Soundtrack's new material finds the band taking this one step further.
Out on September 18th, the material was produced by John Agnello at Seedy Underbelly North, in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. A brisk, decisive and at times poetic return, 'Panic Stations' finds Motion City Soundtrack in an emboldened mood.
Continually pacing forward, it's a record that should delight fans and win over doubters in equal measure.
