Let it never be said that Whistles doesn’t know what the Internet wants; if you’re London based – or even further afield with acquaintances in the big bad city – you’ll no doubt have seen the brand’s sample sale flaunted across Facebook. For everyone else, they’ve gone all out for puppy love.
Hooking up with the Japanese brand Buddy on a limited edition line-up of footwear and accessories, the label’s latest campaign taps into our collective demand for animals on the web.
Not a complete coincidence – as well as its ‘make happy’ mantra and minimal leaning aesthetic, Buddy is known for its four legged friend appreciation (the clue’s sort of in the name huh) – the new images do however make for a comforting break from cacti and the like.
Comprised of leather and suede pieces in shades ranging from white and grey to mustard and navy, the unisex collection drops on 24th March, which incidentally falls on the same day Whistles makes it’s menswear standalone proper debut (s/o to Boundary Street), following a pop-up in the area last year.
