Weekly Wishlist: Loewe Postal Bag

Well-dressed wanderlust…

The life of an “influencer” (sigh) seems pretty lucrative, at the top, the Kylie Jenners of the world are making up to $1 million per sponsored post, and near the bottom there’s at least free clothes and trips. Hell, even hedgehogs are cashing in almost $2,000 per post. We want in, but sometimes it can feel like you need to have money to make money. Nobody will be jealous of me posting from a gloomy East London window, or from my communal rented kitchen. Thanks to a surge in capitalistically gifted ‘grammers, shall we say, it’s becoming impossible to stand out in a sea of covetable leather pouches and quilted mules. After all, not everybody can afford two Fendi purses and a silver Lexus.

Sensing our dilemma, the team over at Loewe have come up with the perfect solution. Why go to the expense of actually flying out to awkwardly document your enviable life a new setting when you can just fake it from home? Enter The Postal, a new sculptural handbag (the first of its kind under J-Dubs). The aforementioned accessory is a rigid, top handle bag, newly released in a limited edition series of postcard inspired designs. Each bag is illustrated with a major world city, from London, Madrid and Paris to New York Tokyo and Shanghai. A postcard for the post-Fyre Festival age, the Postal will have everybody believing you’re a five-year-old jet-setting hedgehog named Lionel without breaking the bank. Not that we don’t want to travel, but we just can’t afford the flights after the cost of a trained hedgehog and nine Loewe bags.
