Deliciously described as the ‘Elton skirt’ – presumably a cloth formed ode to the one time Clash cover star – this Clio Peppiatt number boasts summer styled happy place credentials, and a matching jacket of similarly garish stature.
Co-curator of tomorrow’s much hyped ‘Female Matters’ group exhibition (an aesthetically on point exploration of sexual liberation in the 21st century), Peppiatt’s label derives from a similarly same candy coted place as her contemporary Cassandra Verity Green, give or take the hand scribed illustrations that reign across much of the SS15 collection.
For the Elton however, appliqued faux leather takes pride of place; a satin lining is present for optimum comfort and a hint at luxury, while any kid's TV presenter vibe is destroyed by the subtly seductive pencil skirt silhouette.
