This season, venturing out to India, specifically the historic site of the Gateway of India in Mumbai, for the brand’s latest collection. An iconic location steeped in history. the Gateway was originally marked for King George V’s arrival in Mumbai in 1911. Following India’s independence and freedom from British colonialism in 1948, the site became a celebratory spot to mark the departure of British troops. Mumbai is a befitting location for the Fall/Winter 2023 show, paying homage to Christian Dior’s profound admiration for India, its culture and its unique savoir-faire.
