The Italian labels partner on a special edition shoe.

The partnership of Versus Versace and Superga sees one label follow the example set by Giles Deacon and House of Holland, as the other retraces the steps of Christopher Kane and J.W.Anderson.

For both it marks the coming together of two powerhouse Italian fashion brands, the former of course Versace’s little sister, the latter the so-called ‘people’s shoes of Italy’.

Launching this month as a Spring Summer offering, the special edition Superga 2750’s use a key print of the Versus Versace AW14 collection: a multicoloured graphic that clashes with a monochrome geometric motif, used across tees, jackets, skirts and dresses in the full line.

A close relative of the M.I.A for Versus collection – the print is as busy as they come – the shoes make for a noteworthy piece, especially with Superga’s more traditional (read: plain) heritage in mind.
