The labels hook up for round two.

Gosha Rubchinskiy’s clothes owe the inclusive in their aesthetic to the skateboard community, so it was only natural that the Russian born designer would collaborate at some point with skate culture kings, Vans.

‘Some point’ arrived last season – ahead of the label’s catwalk debut at Paris Fashion Week – and post the latter pivotal moment, has happened again for SS15.

The new collaboration is an exclusive for Dover Street Market (Rei Kawakubo’s store was an initial Rubchinskiy buyer in 2010, while Comme des Garcons took on production and distribution in 2012), and is available in just two colours, both a faded red shade and faded black.

A small rising sun motif covers both colours, adorning the classic Vans Slip-On, paired, on the catwalk at least, with tie-waisted trousers in brown and full looks of green.
