UGG Enters The Weird And Wonderful World Of Collina Strada

Collina Strada presents a playful reimagining of classic UGG styles through spiked Mary Janes, illustrated clogs and embellished sandals.

“I just try to make it not fucking boring,” Hillary Taymour, the founder of Collina Strada told Lampoon Magazine back in 2022. This mindset has been ingrained in the brand since it was founded in 2008, establishing itself within youth culture through each collection and culminating in the most weird and wonderful UGG collaboration to date.

Debuting at the Collina Strada SS24 runway show during NYFW, the brand presents six fully vegan styles that elevate a classic summer shoe with immense detailing and embellishments through ruched tulle, beadings and roasted metal hardware. The most coveted pieces from the collection are two reimaginings of the UGG Goldencoast Clog, one ‘Dog Clog’ and one ‘Flamingo Clog’, each featuring a top view illustration of a manicured dog paw on a black shoe and a flamingo’s foot on a pink shoe respectively. Elsewhere the spiked Mary Jane silhouette and the ‘GoldenGlow sandal’ with bespoke floral frills demonstrate Taymour’s playful and thoughtful approach to design.

“I love how UGG is so bold. We both have great platforms to promote creativity and inclusivity,” said Hillary Taymour, Creative Director of Collina Strada. “We both push boundaries and innovations in our respective spaces. My motto? Be fearless and dress for a smile.”

A playful campaign captures the spirit of the collaboration and the true nature of Collina Strada. Models Georgia Palmer, Sara Hiromi and Taylor Larzo pose and play amongst gargantuan sandcastles on a sunny beach with the Collina Strada x UGGs poking out from the sculptures.

“It’s really magical to see how such a creative like Hillary reimagined some of our spring favourites,” said Anne Spangenberg, President of UGG® & Koolaburra by UGG®. “We couldn’t have dreamed of a more playfully eclectic collection that perfectly celebrates the partnership.”
