As New York Fashion Week begins and we eagerly await the arrival of our own five days of playing dress up, Clash decided to look back at Saint Laurent’s recent menswear show which featured not one but two former Ones to Watch…
It’s no surprise that Hedi Slimane’s catwalk featured a smothering of musicians-his love affair with music has long been noted-and this season was no different from his past glory days at Dior Homme.
Ty Segall-the San Francisco dwelling singer/songwriter of numerous bands-created the soundtrack for the fifteen minute show; have a watch of the show on the video below to grab an earful of the sweet tunes he made exclusively for the house.
On the catwalk meanwhile, members of Egyptian Hip Hop, Swim Deep, Coastal Cities and Halls paraded the latest wears. Louis (EHH) stepped out in look 9, look 10 saw SD’s Zachary adopt a red leopard print cardigan, and CC’s Declan went formal in a navy wool coat for look 22. Our fave though was Mr. Sam Howard a.k.a. Halls, who delighted in the finest leather jacket we’ve seen in a while (look 25).
