Zulu Winter model the new River Island collection

Modelled on Iain, Henry, Will, Dom and Guy-collectively known as the band, Zulu Winter-River Island's new menswear range sees vintage inspired prints sit alongside distressed denim and tailored wool coats rub shoulders with casual suede bombers.

Named after the infamous Holloway Road-home to the likes of Nambucca and a stone's throw from a hundred other indie favourites-the North London road was also the location of River Island founder, Bernard Lewis's first shop, which opened its doors in 1948. Comprising of well made pieces with contemporary credentials, the collection features Japanese inspired techniques, classic raw wash jeans, contrasting trims and utilitarian details, as well as 'Holloway Road' emblazoned hoodies and retro motif tees.

Formed in 2011 and soon to be enjoying the sights of mainland Europe alongside The Vaccines and Keane respectively, Zulu Winter spoke exclusively to the brand in a special video, which you can watch here. In it the London five piece note Nick Drake, Caribou and Jason Pierce as musical influences, while when it comes to their style they take on each other's observations primarily.

Bjork is also mentioned as an inspiring dresser, though Henry is quick to point out, "it's not something that I could necessarily match or pull off, but she is an incredibly stylish woman," before PJ Harvey gets a mention and Iain decides, "so women, basically."

'Language' the band's debut album is out now, while Holloway Road can be shopped from http://www.riverisland.com today.
