Not content with being a Global Ambassador for Puma, face of Dior and last year’s CFDA Fashion Icon award winner, this week it has been announced that Rihanna will join Cali label Stance as Contributing Creative Director.
The BBHMM star – whose style CV also boasts a successful line for River Island – will design “multiple seasons” for the label’s women’s line as part of a multi-year partnership.
“I’ve had a great relationship with Stance for a long time and I am happy to be working with them on such a fun and creative project,” she notes. “This is an exciting new venture.”
Big in the sock game – 579k Insta followers can’t be wrong – Stance was founded in 2010 and poses the answer to that big question (“who will look after your feet?” obvs).
A secondary part of Riri’s role with the label sees her named as its latest Punk & Poet ambassador, joining model Bambi Northwood-Blyth, skater Andrew Reynolds, Haim and several others.
“Rihanna epitomizes what it means to dress by your own rules,” adds SVP of Stance’s Women’s Divison, Candy Harris. “She is a fashion pioneer and we are excited that she has made Stance her next canvas.”
The Bajan star’s debut canvas will be launched this autumn, while to celebrate today’s news the label has released two limited edition styles – available now – appropriately titled ‘Murder Rih Wrote’.
