These are strange times we're living in. The cost of living rises each day, but wages seem to stay at the same flat-lining level.
Watching it all from his bedroom, Mattie Vant could feel his frustration rising. Allowing his feelings to emerge through his music, the North East songwriter worked in secret.
Moving to Brighton, VANT began to coalesce, with the group applying a personal politic to their anthemic songwriting.
A four piece, the band have confirmed plans for an enormous UK tour. Truly nationwide, the list of dates moves from the South of England to the tip of Scotland.
Ahead of this, Clash is able to premiere a demo version of 'Birth Certificate'. Musing on the shifting nature of British identity, the dextrous wordplay is fused with a sense of righteousness.
Check it out now.
