Riot !n Magenta initially wanted to be a laptop based project, utilising the latest software to produce some otherworldly sounds.
The aesthetic – and to an extent, the software – has remained, but the project has rapidly evolved.
The Singapore based group now eschew laptops, instead favouring to use hardware when performing live.
An organic, sensual experience, new EP 'Voices' is out today (March 23rd). Dreamy vocals with a lysergic flair, Riot !n Magenta match this to crystalline, glistening production.
Hugely inventive, the quintet have a gorgeous, engrossing sound which also utilises some dark moments.
