Alas, as far as east London is concerned, the most exciting smiley news this week is the arrival of Pantone x Smiley, a SS16 hook up between the universal authority on colour and a yellow face fronted clothing label, currently putting the time in at Boxpark Shoreditch.
Comprised of casual tees, tanks, swim shorts and tote bags, the new line boasts a Pantone palette featuring the likes of Beach Glass, Capri Breeze, Dark Denim and Vibrant Yellow, each with the latter’s subtle branding below.
A fresh look for the original emoticon – the Caviar swim shorts in particular – fans have until 31 August to check out the aforementioned pop-up and secure themselves a piece of lido suitable attire.
