Pamela Anderson is kicking off the new year with a new gig: the model/actor/activist stars in the new Proenza Schouler Spring 2024 campaign with a fresh look and face.
The campaign, which coincides with the Proenza Schouler SS24 pre-order launch, further solidifies Anderson’s It girl status in the wake of months of high fashion headlines and pap shots. Since her jaw-dropping Heaven for Marc Jacobs campaign for AW22, Anderson has been one of the most in-demand names in fashion, in the past twelve months she opened the runway for the Boss SS23 show, launched her Baywatch-inspired swimwear capsule for Frankie’s Bikinis, and dominated headlines at Paris Fashion Week.
Proenza’s Spring 2024 campaign, lensed by photographer Davit Giorgadze, captures a laid-back Anderson sporting key pieces from the SS24 collection, including a white wide netted dress under a boxy black blazer, a red knotted halter dress, white jeans and a matching blazer with sheer tights and strappy heels, and a fitted black look and a black funnel neck jacket with a black belt with gold hardware. The real star of the campaign is Anderson’s bare-faced look with minimal (if any) makeup. The minimal look made headlines at fashion month, front row at Proenza’s SS24 show in fact. Still, Anderson has been rocking a bare face since 2019, when her longtime makeup artist Alexis Vogel passed away, telling Vogue France how going makeup-free has helped her to take control of her beauty and image after a lifetime in the spotlight. “I don’t want to compete with the clothes.”
