Onitsuka Tiger Collaborates With Astro Boy

Debuting new iterations of the Dentigre™ Puff Boot and the Medico 66™ SD sneaker.

Onitsuka Tiger celebrates its 75th anniversary this year and is kicking off the festivities with a global collaboration with manga series Astro Boy.

The Japanese sportswear brand’s collaboration with Astro Boy pays homage to the era of Japanese culture that birthed both creations: 1949 and 1951 respectively. Osamu Tezuka’s Astro Boy was the first full length anime television series in Japanese history and remained a key piece of Japanese pop culture. This collaboration fuses the legacy of both brands, breathing new life into the original Astro Boy logo and design that is now featured throughout the 43 piece collection, from shirts, tracksuits, skirts and pants to body bags, hats and shoes.

Two silhouettes stand out as the key moments of this collaboration: the DENTIGRE™ PUFF BOOT and the MEXICO 66™ SD. The former is bold in colour and shape, debuting the cult favourite chunky boot in a distinctive bright red, while the latter comes in three different shades of red, grey and black, each with their own individual design flairs.

Onitsuka Tiger x Astro Boy is available at the London Regent Street Flagship Store and online here.
