Designer collaborates with cashmere brand on a range of knits.

Winter is here; our hands are turning purple each time we step out the front door and our inboxes are full of winter themed press releases, not to mention emails surrounding the staff Christmas party. Our shopping lists are wracking up numerous knitted pieces, and top of our wish list is the latest designer collaboration from Brora. Step forward Mr. Michael van der Ham.

Already huge fans of his ladylike collage aesthetic, we’re thoroughly enjoying the 12 piece knit selection (see our Top 3 modeled here on Elite’s gorge new face, Abbie). Made up of cardigans and jumpers plus hats and gloves, colours are primarily muted (think blues and greys) with splashes of orange making a big impact. Knits are kept light in weight while patterns range from stripes and waves to ‘paint’ splashes.

Working closely with Brora’s founder and creative director, Victoria Stapleton, van der Ham says of the range, “I started with stitches, all different types and weights so I could mix them within the pieces and the range. I love that with knits you can control every detail from the core fibre on.”
