Margaret Howell is taking a trip down memory lane as she adapts and reinterprets the most distinctive tennis styles from the Fred Perry archives this season. The two iconic British brands combine their opposing aesthetics for a new capsule collection with a focus on clean tailoring and an impeccable eye for detail.
“There’s something very rewarding for me to be collaborating with established British Brand Fred Perry”, says Howell of the collaboration, “the white polo shirt and sounds of Wimbledon set firmly in my mind from distant sunny school days…”
Classic Fred Perry pieces have been reimagined by the Margaret Howell team, the M3 shirt boasts shiny mother of pearl buttons, a bomber jacket is cropped and lined with jersey, and a casual straight-leg trousers adopts the waistband and cuffs of the classic Fred Perry tennis shorts. The capsule also includes remakes of the Fred Perry tennis shirt and cotton canvas plimsolls, each finished with the original Laurel Wreath branding.
Available in select Fred Perry and Margaret Howell stores.
