Levi’s Launches First Band Tee Collection With Oasis

Celebrating a long overdue Oasis reunion just in time for the 30th anniversary of the band's debut album.

Levi’s has unveiled an exclusive partnership with Oasis to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the legendary Britpop band’s debut album ‘Definitely, Maybe’, and the announcement of their reunion tour.

Founded 171 years ago, Levi’s has remained at the crossroads between fashion and culture, evolving with trends and music scenes while rooted in good, classic denim and quality American craftsmanship. As we move through this decade Levi’s is expanding collaborations with newer brands like Kiko Kostadinov, while catering to a growing hunger for vintage styles and nostalgia with this series of Oasis band t-shirts.

The concept itself calls back to the Britpop era, when band tees were a street style fixture, often paired with a pair of worn-in Levi’s. It’s fitting that the Levi’s Band Tee Collection is launching with a set of vintage-inspired, washed Oasis t-shirts. To capture the nostalgic feeling, Levi’s utilised and repurposed visual elements from the band’s archives, and combined them with some updated print and process techniques and washes. The collection consists of t-shirts printed with the classic Decca logo, a Maine Road football pitch and the Union Jack logo, pulled from the band’s first-ever t-shirts. The nostalgic detailing goes deeper with interior neck labels inspired by ‘90s era woven labels.
