Jeremy Scott x Melissa

The Brazilian brand welcomes Scott to the fold.

So apparently Melissa had never previously tapped Jeremy Scott for a collaboration, seems crazy huh? Luckily the pair have made this right, with the launch of a new two-piece collection this week.

First debuted at Scott’s NYFW show – and in a first for the Brazilian brand, already available in store – the link up has produced perhaps the most perfect non-Barbie Barbie replica we’ve ever seen; the silhouette, plastic and colour palette is on point, no?

“I’m so excited to have the chance to collaborate with Melissa!” announced the designer as he joins a line-up that to date boasts Vivienne Westwood, Gareth Pugh and Jean Paul Gauliter. “I’m a fan of the fun that they put into footwear and I’m honoured to be included in the long line of great designers that they have collaborated with over the past 44 years.”

“His talent, irreverence and attitude combine into what we believe to be the Melissa attitude,” concurs the brand’s CEO, Paulo Pedo, “Attitude is the base of the design problem solving, art as the spice of life and fashion as one of the most authentic personal expressions. Welcome Jeremy!”

The capsule collection was apparently inspired by inflatable pool toys and features an ankle boot and a mule, each in a wide spectrum of colours. Sindy would be well jel, trust.
