Jaden Smith’s Sustainable Luggage Brand ‘Harper Collective’ Launches Exclusively At Selfridges

Crafted from 70% recycled ocean and consumer plastic.

Jaden Smith has unveiled his latest venture in sustainable and innovative design with Harper Collective, a new, luxury luggage brand that prioritises ethical design practises, durability and a sophisticated finish. Founded alongside Sebastian Manes, the former buying and merchandising director of Selfridges, the pair has spent the last five years perfecting their production and designs.

Following in the footsteps of Smith’s groundbreaking ‘JUST Water’ brand, sustainability is the key focus of Harper Collective. Each piece of luggage is handcrafted in England from 70% recycled ocean and consumer plastic as the brand leads the charge in green travel practices.

“Our vision was to offer a luxury product made from sustainable materials, and it fills us with excitement to witness this vision come to life,” said Smith of the brand. “We hope to inspire other companies to follow suit and adopt sustainable practices throughout their supply chains, as we are proud to maintain complete transparency in our own.”

“We firmly believe that it is entirely possible to create high-quality products that are also environmentally friendly” added Manes. “It’s an ongoing journey, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to continuously refine our production methods to minimise our environmental impact.”

Harper Collective has launched exclusively at London’s Selfridges store, in a space designed in collaboration with East London-based set designer Paulina Piiponen. The space features art installations made from ghost fishing nets picked from the UK coast and recycled aluminium.

Available in both a dark green and sleek black, Harper Collective launches its debut collection as twelve pieces across four different sizes.
