‘Alfred Kerbs was born in Barcelona and now he is planning to conquer the world’, so reads the short bio-cum-introduction on the website of the European’s self-titled label.
Founded just last year, the latter Alfred Kerbs this season announces itself as one to watch in the sunglasses arena (an increasingly strong field if our inbox is anything to go by).
Comprised of just 39 pieces – this, according to the web shop, the campaign would suggest gaps – Kerbs debut collection boasts that most luxurious of qualities, being handmade in Italy.
Each style manifests itself as a rich visualisation of strong facial furniture, while the supporting campaign was shot by Paris based photographer, Lea Colombo (keeper of a dream like gaze), and presents a cast of predominantly redheaded models.
No accident, the shoot, so we’re told, aims to create a sense of belonging and adherence to the designer’s world; the result appoints a bold aesthetic for the young brand.
