Musician and producer Pharrell Williams became co-owner and Head of Imagination at Dutch denim brand G-Star RAW in February, and has wasted no time in imbuing his distinct perspective.
Introducing the same sense of individualism that first gained him a name in the indefinable funk/rock/hip-hop ground N*E*R*D back in the early noughties, Williams vision is immediately apparent in the company’s new Autumn/Winter ’17 campaign.
Shot by Collier Schorr, the photo series features Pharrell himself, alongside a diverse ensemble cast that includes supermodel and Gurls Talk founder Adwoa Aboah and sister Kesewa, models India Graham and Brooke Perry; Scottish actor and campaigner Connor Newall; and Lennon Gallagher – model and son of Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.
Each member of this talented G-Star clique is captured in the brand's most Iconic design – the 3D constructed Elwood jean. From Adwoah's easy menswear inspired styling, to Brooke Perry's high-waisted 90s look, the emphasis is on the individual, and how each character is able to make G-Star RAW product completely their own.
