High end and high street appointments, plus you could smell of Miu Miu.

A new month and with it new appointments. Although, strictly speaking of course, said appointments were made in the latter half of last month. The outcomes of each however, won’t become visible until 2014, so for now let’s stick with calling it news.

News this week includes creative appointments for both Moschino and Uniqlo, while soon you’ll be able to smell of Miu Miu. Imagine that…


On Monday it was announced that American designer Jeremy Scott – known for his often outlandish creations – is to become Creative Director at Italian fashion house, Moschino.

Scott takes over from Rossella Jardini, whose SS14 catwalk show celebrated 30 years of the house. Jeremy, who will continue to head his own name label alongside his new role, will debut his first collection in Milan in February as part of the AW14 collections.


Elsewhere at Japanese brand Uniqlo, Nigo has been named as Creative Director of the UT label.

UT is the brand’s unique T-shirt line; previous tees have been adorned with designs by Andy Warhol, Keith Haring and Osamu Tezuka.

Nigo left A Bathing Ape, the brand he founded in 1993, earlier this year. His first project for Uniqlo will be Spring Summer 14.


And lastly, Prada’s little sister Miu Miu is set to release her own fragrance.

Earlier this week Prada confirmed that they’d signed a deal with beauty brand Coty Inc. to come up with a Miu Miu fragrance, set for release in 2015.

The Prada label already has several scents of its own.
