Edwin Unveils ‘Nocturnal Wanderings’ For AW23

Edwin pays homage to its Tokyo roots for its AW23 campaign. Titled ‘Nocturnal Wanderings’, the clothing and imagery encapsulate the deliriously vibrant nightlife of the Japanese capital city.

The brand’s latest offerings take on the city’s slacker-grunge culture in four distinct chapters: ‘Track + Rewind’, ‘Colder Terrain’, ‘Nocturnal Wanderings’, and ‘Tonal Military’. The collection plays with lights and shadows, emblazoning neon hues against tonal stone coloured backdrops that mirror the city’s luminescent glow. 

For ‘Track + Rewind’, vintage inspired, oversized t-shirts segue into an array of ‘70s and ‘80s track and field uniforms with electric red and orange undertones. ‘Colder Terrain’ provides seasonal layering pieces in the form of plaid overshirts, twill trousers and high-necked sweaters with thick, padded outerwear are presented in cool earth tones with icy blues that forge visions of blurred mountain landscapes in the distance. ‘Nocturnal Wanderings’ is an ode to Tokyo after dark, set in midnight shades of black and navy with electric bursts of colour and prints hidden on the inner linings and the undersides of classic pieces. The ‘Tonal Military’ selection holds the entire range together, reworking the classic camo print through shades of ‘Kombu Green’ and ‘Iceberg Green’ alongside classic black basics and overdyed denim.
