Don Toliver And Nicolai Marciano Create Bespoke Motorcycle For ‘Hardstone Psycho’ Album Cover

An impressive feat of engineering, the bespoke Shovelhead Chopper from Powepoint took over 2,000 hours to create.

Don Toliver has partnered with Nicolai Marciano, the creative director of GUESS Jeans, around the launch of his latest studio albumHardstone Psycho’. For the latest instalment of their ongoing collaboration, Don Toliver and Nicolai Marciano have created a one-of-a-kind bespoke motorcycle in partnership with Yaniv Evan of Powerpoint Motorcycles.

The custom bike, which took 2,000 man-hours to create, is the result of meticulous planning and designing. The custom masterpiece features a 1990s-inspired chain-link, referencing a chain that Don wears on his wallet, and super forward mid controls designed to fit Don’s oversized boots. The 1970s Harley Davidson motorcycle features Frisco-style skinny tyres, a custom gunfighter seat, and two fire engine red cylinders. Elsewhere, there are more references to the 1970s with a custom patinated chain link paint job and rocker boxes engraved with ‘Hardstone’ in Powerplant’s original signature typeface. The vintage-inspired bike serves as the key figure in the world of Hardstone, which stretches across fashion, design and music, and even features on the cover of Hardstone Psycho.

“GUESS did a fantastic job making sure the bike was just how I wanted it, and Powerplant made it all happen” Don Toliver commented. “I really enjoyed working with them both.”

Don Toliver first partnered with Nicolai Marciano in 2021 for a GUESS Originals touring capsule that aligned with his sophomore album, ‘Life of a Don’, and in the years since their relationship has continued to grow and evolve, with Marciano creating a custom leather tour wardrobe for the artist.

The bike is currently housed in Los Angeles and is likely to pop up throughout Don Toliver’s Hardstone season.
