Round two of the label's archive campaign.

It’s been several months since Clash dodged the rain to talk all things denim with Nicola Formichetti, and several months more since his initial Tumblr cast campaign surprised us all.

But now Diesel’s Artistic Director has launched part two of #DIESELTRIBUTE, the leather round.

Released exclusively in Selfridges last week, as of yesterday the new line can be shopped across town as it hits stores nationwide.

Like its denim counterpart before it, the leather collection sees Formichetti cast his eye on all the goods held in the Italian archive, piecing together the most definitively Diesel elements.

Hence leather jackets take the shape of traditional denim ones, bearing sleeves covered in the patches usually found on the back of jeans, and an actual pair of denims are covered similarly, the whole piece smothered.

Such is the care and precision with these pieces, production for many was restricted to just three items a day. And so exclusivity becomes a byproduct...

In total the brand has produced 11 styles of apparel, 5 accessories and 4 so-called ‘intimate options’ for the range, polos, dresses and vests all included. Check out the Clash exclusive look book image of one such look above.
