Chloé X ERES: a Masterclass in Luxury Beachwear

Sun-soaked styles and subversive silhouettes…

Chloé has enlisted swimwear savant, ERES, for an exclusive beachwear collection. Evoking long, Mediterranean days, the collaboration sees Chloé’s free-spirited femininity injected into beach essentials while ERES supplies its expertise in luxury swimwear.

For Gabriela Hearst and Marie-Paule Minchelli, the creative directors of Chloé and ERES respectively, teaming up was intuitive. Growing up on Uruguay’s beach-lined coast, Hearst has no issues bringing her cerebral femininity to the Maison’s seaside collection. Meanwhile, Minchelli has bought a focus on innovation and fabrications to EREZ. Founded in 1968 and a part of Groupe Chanel since 1996, the Parisian swimwear brand is known for that certain savoir-faire.

Bring both heritage labels together, and the result is quality-driven swimsuits, ready-to-wear, and accessories. Earthy colours are interwoven throughout the collection, although both Hearst’s and Minchelli’s favourite colourway ‘Dark Honey’ has been saved exclusively for Net-A-Porter. Every piece of swimwear is crafted from Peau Douce, a second skin material created by ERES to provide elasticity and comfort.

To ground the offering in Chloé’s distinctive codes, broderie anglaise and the Maison’s iconic flouncing, winged shoulders appear in styles like the ‘Pacific’ swimsuit. The ‘C’ emblem (usually found in Chloé’s Mate hobo handbag) has been employed to subvert the ‘Panama’ swimsuit’s clean silhouette with a ruched cut-out.

The collection is available online and from Chloé and ERES boutiques now.
