Last week Rimowa unveiled its latest creation, a compact and versatile addition to its Original collection. Dubbed the Original Bag, the new design champions the same dedication to craft and engineering teamed with elegant design codes that have elevated Rimowa beyond just luggage to a heritage brand with an enduring legacy of performance and technical design.
Made in Germany, the hard-sided and lightweight aluminium handbag has been designed with versatility in mind, the transferable, adjustable webbing strap allows it to be worn crossbody or over the shoulder when not being carried by the leather top handle. The Original bag boasts the same sleek and durable exterior as other Rimowa designs, reinforced by an aluminium frame punctuated by rounded edges for a sleek finish.
To commemorate the launch of the Original Bag, RIMOWA has enlisted an agency of record, Anomaly, to create an influential campaign. For the campaign, captured by photographers Louise and Martha Thornfeldt, Rimowa reinforces its global and cross-generational appeal with a host of global talent, including model Liu Wen, multi-hyphenate fashion creative IB Kamara, musician Central Cee and photographer Larissa Hoffman. The accompanying video campaign from Jordan Hemingway invites viewers to travel with the four stars, each with the Rimowa Original Bag in hand, as they seamlessly blend into the hectic pace of city life soundtracked by ‘Last Nite’ by The Strokes.
