His third showing for Celine, Hedi Slimane’s fall-winter 2019 is deeply rooted in the history of the house. Paying homage to the house’s founder Céline Vipiana, his second womenswear collection plays with tweed and pearls for a horsey-country-conservatism. A throwback to French it-girl dressing of the 1970s and '80s, the fall-winter line is a carousel of pleated skirts, silk dresses and knee high riding boots. Slimane continues to champion youth counterculture – this season providing for the new Parisian Bourgeouis.
An accompanying campaign, titled the “16”, is photographed by Slimane and stars models Lara and Karo.
