Carolina Herrera SS24

Transitional elegance...

It’s been five years since Wes Gordon helmed Carolina Herrera, and in the years since he has further cemented codes of transitional elegance and opened the brand to a more casual side of New York.

For SS24 Gordon referenced Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy as his all-American muse, evoking her signature ‘throwaway chic’ style rich in minimalism and subtle flourishes of glamour. The collection opened and closed with a Carolina Herrera staple, the signature buttoned shirt, bookending a collection of sharp, clean silhouettes touched by soft romantic prints and fabrics. Brimming with delicate, feminine energy embedded in a spring colour palette of lilacs, yellows, pinks and neutrals, Gordon delivers a full summer wardrobe for the city,

Possibly Gordon’s most wearable collection to date, the classic evening elegance of silk, sequins and lace is accompanied by small injections of casual sportswear in the form of slim-fit polo shirts, sequined sporty polo pieces and polka dot minis. This collection demonstrates the brand’s penchant for tailoring, fine detailing and perfectly cut silhouettes that wouldn’t be out of place for a long summer in the Hamptons.
