It will unlikely surprise fans then, that the Italian brand has put this into practice by teaming up with Carhartt WIP, the contemporary strand of the 1889 founded work wear label.
The three sunglasses styles that form the collection – named Stokely, Brightmoor and Hampton, all areas of Detroit where the latter was founded – are each a distinctive new take on a classic silhouette, produced in ‘slick black acetate’ as if to highlight this potential, as well as several other finishes such as ‘Mat Blue Havana’.
While we may have just reached February and they might carry a SS14 tag, like most frames the collaborative pieces are pretty much seasonless. Which is great news when the weatherman fails to ever make you smile…
