The French label drops a new exclusive.

Parisian label Côte&Ciel joined the luggage hype in 2008; seven years on and it’s about to drop a collection exclusively for Selfridges.

Ignoring for a second that the two-piece line-up came about on account of the department store’s Christmas theme of ‘Constellations’ (because even if there is less than two months till the big day, it’s still too soon), the newbies are revised editions of Côte&Ciel's classic 'Nile' model.

Produced elsewhere in plain leather or nylon, here the Nile’s aesthetic is reimagined in a technical crinkle fabric and reflective nylon outer respectively.

Positioning itself as somewhere between technology and fashion, Côte&Ciel is concerned with freedom and movement between urban and non-urban environments, hence the Nile is a practical as well as attractive piece of equipment.

An ergonomic tool, it’s designed to follow the curvature of the spine (no need then for back worries) and boasts an internal pocket for laptops as well as a concealed hood (to battle them elements with).
