Bottega Veneta has launched the fifth iteration of its limited-edition fanzine to coincide with the arrival of its Winter 24 collection by Matthieu Blazy. The free zine will take a deep dive into the creative world of Bottega Veneta through Blazy’s eyes, exploring the ideas and artistic expressions that have informed his latest collection.
Each volume documents Blazy’s creative journey at the Italian fashion house, building with each new collection. This edition features a campaign shot on location in Utah and Nevada by frequent Bottega Veneta collaborator Alec Soth, readers can enjoy behind-the-scenes snaps and a retrospective of the brand’s ‘On The Rocks’ installation from Milan Design Week, a collaboration with photographer Vytautas Kumza, and a portfolio of prints by collage artist Judy Bowman. This issue will also include an exclusive postcard set with further atmospheric images from Utah and Nevada, alongside an embroidered patch that nods to the folklore history of extraterrestrial activity in the area.
The new fanzine explores the creative side of Blazy’s designs, inviting artists to collaborate on pieces around the Winter 24 collection. Photographer Vytautas Kumzas contributes a playful photo series around key garments from the collection while artist Judy Bowman repurposes the richly textured fabrics into collages inspired by her childhood in Detroit’s Eastside and Black Bottom neighbourhoods.
Presented in a pull-draw slipcase, the fanzine is printed to emulate the special charred wood flooring of the Winter 24 show space. As part of the brand’s wider efforts to foster and nurture its community of fans and followers, the fanzine is available for free on a first come, first served basis in Bottega Veneta stores around the world.
