Celebrating a joint commitment to local sentiments, Bimba Y Lola showcased its collaboration with Palomo Spain at New York Fashion Week. The brands premiered a deeply romantic collection, rich in the avant-garde femininity that has come to define Bimba Y Lola for the last two decades, with an abundance of leather and lace for a dark sensuality.
The collection, titled ‘Cruising in the Rose Garden’ featured the flower heavily throughout on decadent mini dresses, printed on leather and in heavy accessories. The entire capsule collection is set within a tight colour palette of red, black and white, and features a full range of ready-to-wear including dresses, trousers, tops, and knitwear. The collection also features an array of decadent accessories including earrings, rings, and necklaces, all featuring extravagant rose designs alongside an exciting reinterpretation of Bimba Y Lola’s famous ‘Pocket Bag’.
Bimba Y Palomo perfectly balances Palomo’s gender-neutral aesthetic with Bimba Y Lola’s high-octane femininity, adds another level of maturity by contrasting harsher touches to the Spanish brand’s delicate designs with sharp accessories and heavy leather outerwear.
