Ben Sherman Fuses Mod Style and Biker Culture With Vintage Inspired Ace Cafe Collaboration

With vintage influences, each piece has been meticulously designed to transcend generations and cultural barriers.

Ben Sherman has unveiled a collaboration with the Ace Cafe. The extremely limited-edition clothing capsule delves into the cafe’s rich history and draws inspiration from mod and biker culture.

First established in 1938, the Ace Cafe has become an international institution with locations across the UK and as far as Orlando and Beijing. Originally a humble London location for truckers and travellers, the roadside location and 24-hour opening times soon attracted the attention of bikers and became the breeding ground for motorcycle culture with classic cars and rock n’ roll.

The Ben Sherman collaboration consists of seven unique pieces that build a distinct vintage-inspired biker wardrobe founded in the roots of both brands. Sleek and heavily stylised, the all-black-and-white collection draws inspiration from the Ace Cafe’s iconic checkerboard pattern and reinvents classic Ben Sherman styles through a vintage, biker lens. Knitted zip polos, viscose bowling shirts, button-up knits and printed graphic tees pay homage to the ‘50s biker culture and a pivotal moment in British mod culture.
