Aries x ROA

London’s favourite streetwear brand Aries has partnered with outdoor specialists ROA for a dynamic new outerwear collection that centres on the ROA Andreas hiking boot.

This partnership marks the first time that Aries and ROA have worked together, and sees Aries delivering a playful take on the classic hiking boot with an asymmetrical toe box, reflective taping and laced by Aries’ signature climbing cord. 

The boot will be available in two distinct colourways: a sleek all-black version and a wild zebra print. Each iteration features a unique co-branded logo on the outer high-top collar and unmistakable ROA designs including quick-lacing external hooks, a pull tab heel, a rubber toe cap and Vibram megagrip toothed treat pattern sole. 

The campaign was shot in Newcastle by Kuba Ryniewicz, and examines the essence of British outdoor culture through hiking and exploration. Ryniewicz listed movies such as Mike Leigh’s Nuts in May and Ben WHeatley’s Sightseers on her mood board. The photographer is typically known for his ability to tell vivid stories through his traditional portraiture and travel chronicles, “moving deftly between limitation and possibilities is where the work of Kuba Ryniewicz thrives” his website says.
