adidas Originals have released a new redesign of their iconic OZWEEGO running shoe. First launched back in 1996, the OZWEEGO 1 became a fixture in rave and streetwear culture. Another three iterations were released throughout the decade before being temporarily discontinued in the early 2000s.
A frontrunner for the OG dad sneaker, the OZWEEGO was given new life at hands of Raf Simons, who began collaborating with adidas in 2013, kicking off with a redesign of the OZWEEGO 1. The line was an inevitable success, given the Belgian couturier’s penchant for Stan Smiths and youth-centric trends, paving the way for the dad-sneaker resurgence, which hit the runway hard in spring-summer '18.
Taking full advantage of the runway-approved resurgence, adidas Originals are giving a modern update to the aggressive 90s classic with a five piece revival of the OZWEEGO 3 (circa. 1998). The new range helms back to its streetwear heyday with five rave-ready colourways including solar green and neon orange, our shoe of choice is the sleek all black version.
