A.P.C. BAPE Interaction #15

A playful collision from A.P.C. and BAPE...

French clothing brand A.P.C. has been presenting an authentic, accessible French style since it was founded in 1987. This season’s ‘Interaction #15’ is a camo-infused capsule collaboration with Japanese streetwear pioneers BAPE.

Fusing A.P.C.’s French take on soft, laid-back luxury with BAPE’s playful elements of Japanese streetwear such as heavy camouflage and the Baby Milo graphic formed a collection of exaggerated, oversized silhouettes in a gentle stonewash finish alongside playful t-shirts and sweatshirts.

The collaboration draws on BAPE’s roots in hip-hop and on the counter-culture scene as the brainchild of the Japanese fashion designer, DJ and producer takes on new life from a modern resurgence in popularity.

First introduced to BAPE by Hiroshi Fujiwara in the brand’s early years, A.P.C.’s founder Jean Touitou was instantly captivated. “This interaction was a chance for me to play with some of the cult elements of our respective brands” said Touitou. Focusing on BAPE’s infamous Baby Milo as a source of “morale” in the recent years.

The collaboration will be available from September 3rd at apcstore.co.uk
