Taj Mahal

Renowned American blues musician

Henry Saint Clair Fredericks emerged on the folk revival brimming with ambition - so much so that he named himself after one of the greatest pieces of architecture on the planet. Taj Mahal is a master of traditional blues styles, but his ceaseless experimentation has meant that he has incorporated jazz, Caribbean and African musical styles into his repertoire. Still recording and touring, Taj Mahal exists as a living repository of African-American music.
