Red Hot Chili Peppers

Sock wearing frat boys

Veteran Californian punk funkers and frat party veterans, Red Hot Chili Peppers became one of the biggest selling alternative acts in the 90s. Emerging in the mid 80s the band skirted on the sidelines with a funky yet angular sound, influenced by such acts as Gang Of Four and The Minutemen. "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" in 1991 became a massive seller but after losing guitarist John Frusciante the band began to lose their way. The guitar player rejoined the band 1998 and Red Hot Chili Peppers re-emerged as a global success story.
