The Wonder Of Wychwood

Opening the festival season “like a bijou Glastonbury” (as observed by The Independent), Wychwood returns to Cheltenham Racecourse. One of the more welcoming festivals on the calendar, it boasts an imaginative line-up. Now into its fourth year, the three-day event features 80-plus performers, and over 100 workshops.  

The Proclaimers and Divine Comedy headline the Friday and Saturday main stages, respectively, while Sunday features The Imagined Village, a folky collective featuring Billy Bragg, Eliza and Martin Carthy.  

On Friday there’s the marvelous prospect of deadpan comic poet John Hegley handing the baton to riotous dance-folk act Dreadzone. On Saturday current chart darling Duffy shares a bill with Afro-Cuban outfit Orchestra Baobab and post-punk legends The Blockheads, while folk queen Kate Rusby rubs shoulders with global-rave collective Transglobal Underground.  

It all occurs over the weekend of May 30th to June 1st, and we have five pairs of tickets to give away.
