Win: Tickets To The Nokia Lumia Live Sessions With Ella Eyre

At a Fairground Museum. Obviously…

Ella Eyre was born in 1994. In 1994, I was a year away from beginning a relationship with my now wife. What does this have to do with you winning tickets to see the London-born singer, a collaborator with Rudimental and Naughty Boy, when she plays Nokia’s (and La Blogothèque’s) Lumia Live Sessions on March 29th? Nothing. At all. But is sure as hell makes a man feel old.

Eyre on the other hand is one of pop’s brightest young things, a performer whose successes to date have set the bar excitedly high for her own material to reach. A debut EP, ‘Deeper’, comprised a good start at breaking through on her own terms back in December, and there’s more to come in 2014. The year started pretty well, with Eyre ranking highly on both the BBC Sound Of list and the BRIT Critics’ Choice Award.

Eyre plays the private Lumia Live Session at Devon’s Dingles Fairground Museum, located in Milford. Confusingly, Devon is also a village close to the city of Milford, Connecticut. This gig is not taking place in America, though. Promise.

What we can also promise: you can be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets to this super-special, super-intimate performance, at which Ella is sure to deliver both hits you know and songs from her in-the-works debut album. Winners will have to get to the venue under their own steam – well, at least as far as either Exmoor or Bodmin train stations, from where they can be collected by Nokia representatives – but otherwise, this is a gratis gig.

About the sessions: The Lumia Live Sessions are a celebration of Nokia’s love of music discovery, bringing to life the essence of its free music streaming service, Nokia MixRadio. Featuring over 30 million tracks and hundreds of playlists created by a team of musicologists based in the UK, Nokia MixRadio caters to the tastes of every music fan. With no registration, subscription or advertisements, the app is designed to encourage people to discover both new music and long lost favourites.

Says Christophe Abric, founder of La Blogothèque, on this project: “The team is thrilled to partner up with Nokia again to explore the UK and discover the best new artists. We’re all set for another exciting year of the Lumia Live Sessions: exciting acts, crazy venues and lots of magic moments!”

Clash has some lovely tickets to give away, in pairs, to Ella’s set. Simply enter your details below and we’ll draw (and contact, via email) winners on Wednesday, March 26th. I should probably go. I mean, at my age I get a Senior Railcard, so… (On topic: this show is open to attendees aged 18+ only. Which means Ella herself only just sneaks in.)
