Along the stunning coastline of the Adriatic Sea, Soundwave Croatia brings cool festival vibes into the sunshine. In 2012, they relocated to the beautiful village of Tisno: the main stage is situated amongst The Garden treetops, with gorgeous sandy beaches, and a deep oceanic backdrop.
Throwing some of the best parties Europe can offer, Soundwave Croatia has confirmed headliners including Bonobo, Doom, DJ Shadow and Robert Glasper Experiment. Fresh from the release of new album 'The North Borders', Bonobo will be tearing up the dancefloor with some fresh sets, accompanied by a full live band.
Drawing upon jazz, hip-hop and r&b, Robert Glasper Experiment, including GRAMMY award-winning keyboardist, pushed and pulled through experimental realms of musical composition last year with the release of ‘Black Radio’. After touring last year with ‘All Bases Covered’ and releasing ‘Total Breakdown, Hidden Transmissions From The MPC Era (1992-1996), the experimental hip-hop pioneer, DJ Shadow, will undoubtedly be a highlight for many.
Yet, the diversity of this festival is shown through acts such as the London-Tokyo based artist Anchorsong, who layers samples into a loud explosive frenzy, and the British hip-hop artist, Ghostpoet. However, Soundwave Croatia is more like a cheeky excuse for a holiday, the magnificent location allows the chance for island hopping, boat parties and burning your peely-wally skin to a crisp (not recommended).
Barbarella’s Discoteque will host late-night club sessions for hardcore party animals, just hop on a magical transfer bus that will run every half hour. You won’t be slumming it either; boutique camping is on offer, or you can kick back in a nearby hotel.
